3x3cute
Biography
Germany-based producer and DJ 3x3cute (pronounced execute) builds electronic music around contrast: exactness and experimentation, club functionality and cinematic atmosphere, dark textures and melodic detail. Of German and Greek heritage, the self-contained artist composes, produces, mixes and masters his own releases while also developing the visual worlds that surround them.
His interest in sound began long before he entered a studio. As a child, he was often exposed to events organized at his mother's workplace, where he saw stage lighting, live sound systems, microphones, mixing desks, and outboard equipment every day. This early exposure to music and technology soon became a lasting interest in the mechanics of recorded and live sound.

As a teenager, 3x3cute was drawn to HandsUp and began DJing in 2012. From 2012 to 2014, he held a residency at a German online radio station, and from 2013, he focused more seriously on music production, exploring progressive house in his early work.
3x3cute officially launched in 2022, marking a major shift in his musical style. When clubs reopened after the pandemic and big room techno became popular, he noticed how modern techno fit well with the darker industrial and gothic sounds he grew up with. His track "Red Velvet" captured this change and became his most-streamed release. By September 2026, it had over 9.5 million Spotify streams, accounting for more than 12.3 million total streams for his music and a peak of over 305,000 monthly listeners.
While techno is central to his music, 3x3cute does not view genre as a limitation. His work draws from progressive house, melodic house, cinematic composition, and experimental electronic music. Influences range from Avicii, Jean-Michel Jarre, Martin Garrix, and Martin Gore of Depeche Mode to Ennio Morricone, Rammstein, Oomph!, and Blutengel. His early recordings attracted attention from Beat Radar and Acid Ted, and AllMusic later published an editorial biography of the project.
He took his multidisciplinary approach even further with his debut album, Decades, released in September 2025. The album includes music he first wrote between 2013 and 2020, bringing together unfinished ideas from different times and shaping them into one sound. Inspired partly by the flow of Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon, 3x3cute built a virtual studio setup in Logic, using tape, an SSL-style console, outboard gear, and a final tape stage.
His attention to detail goes past music. He creates his own sound design, artwork, motion graphics, and 3D visuals, often using Blender to build environments for his music. Whether designing analog-style patches, editing guitar recordings, or developing visual scenes, 3x3cute treats each release as part of a unified creative system. His goal remains simple: to continue learning and experimenting, letting curiosity, as opposed to algorithms or genre expectations, guide his work, while maintaining the emotional impact of the dance floor.
