Biography
Hailing from Australia, A Baker's Dozen is the solo project of Melbourne musician Mark Baker. Being soundly bitten by the music bug early in life, it's been a fusion of different styles and approaches to the artform we interperet as music. With an experience that spans symphony orchestras to brass bands, live drum n bass to intricate idm - everything is different and different is everything.
Hence the name A Baker's Dozen - there's always 'one more' jam that doesn't quite fit into the bag.

Currently A Baker's Dozen is seductively mashing mid-tempo glitch, dubstep, hip hop, drumstep, crunk et al. however, there is always one common denominator in his productions - that moresome head nod! Combine this with awe inspiring horn lines, jawdropping basslines, stuttered vocals, spaced out effects layers and you have the phenomenon that is core to his sounds.
With tunes that are sure to get you up off your feet, the party is always rocking, wobbling and swaying like truck on a foot bridge. Stay tuned in 2011 for some massive ear candy and some pumping live shows.
