Biography
Hailing from Brighton, UK, A Night In The Abyss is a symphonic technical deathcore outfit that seamlessly weaves majestic orchestrations with hyper-kinetic death metal brutality. Formed in 2011, the band first turned heads in the UK extreme music circuit with their debut EP, The Rebirth (2014), before cementing their reputation with their crushing 2016 debut full-length album, Begotten.
Fusing the surgical precision and dual-guitar harmonies of melodic death metal with sweeping, blackened orchestral arrangements, blistering blast beats, and a terrifying vocal range, the group draws comparisons to genre titans like Shadow of Intent, Fleshgod Apocalypse, and The Black Dahlia Murder. Further honing their dark, theatrical sound on their 2020 EP Vessel, A Night In The Abyss continues to deliver an epic, high-velocity assault that stands as a premier force in modern symphonic deathcore.
