Little is known about this band. Formed in 2006, Abyssmal Sorrow is a funeral doom/black metal band from Australia. Their themes center around death, suicide, depression, and misery. Before disbanding in 2010, the band released two records: a self-titled EP, Abyssmal Sorrow, in late 2007, followed by their full-length album Lament in February 2008. Incorporating natural sound effects like rain and thunder, their music evokes a profound sense of sadness. The sound is deep, heavy, hypnotic, cutting, dissonant, and distant, creating intense soundscapes that embody despair.
