Biography
Alex Sitze is an independent musician from Oregon, Illinois, currently operating and residing in Milwaukee. Sitze’s influences sprout from 90s rock, indie, folk singers, VGM, pop radio, and classical—the needle drop on his found love of sound. Offshoots of these styles echo through Sitze's work, as candid vocals and oblique, scrapbook lyricism mesh with layers of sonic variety.
Sitze is self-produced, releasing his first single "Halfway to Home" on Soundcloud in 2020. Over the following five years, Sitze has written and distributed 17 singles. In 2023, Sitze established his website/blog (In)Sitze.com, where he publishes original writing and liner notes for his songs.

In late 2025, Sitze began “silent film disco,” a conceptual livestream webcast on YouTube and Twitch under the moniker “fotoplayer,” named for the early-20th-century player piano built for solo performers to score silent films. Episodes involve Sitze improvising long form loops with accompanying silent films in the public domain. In 2026, he debuted 24.7 Jam Radio, an official internet radio stream and seamless shuffle of all his sessions to date. Listeners can tune in for free on his site’s radio page or YouTube channel, fotoplayer_online.
