Biography
Altered:Carbon & Kendall WA is a collaborative project between UK artists Altered:Carbon and Spokane, USA artist Kendall Washington respectively. The project materialised through an idea of collaborating on a track for the duo's new material surfaced and eventually ended up as a full collaboration project.
They released this album titled "Hilander" on October 31st through the Section 27 label. The title is a play on the word Highlander - both artists have Scottish connections, Altered:Carbon themselves of Scottish residence - and is also a tongue-in-cheek reference to the Autechre track "Ilanders" from their record "Oversteps", the same album that months earlier was creating light controversy among internet forums as the debut A:C album was leaked online disguised as Oversteps weeks before its release by an unknown member of the Soulseek community.
