Biography
André van Noord (1964-2018) was a Dutch painter, photographer and professional model from the Dutch Zaanstreek, north of Amsterdam. He had an international career as a model and lived an intense life. When at home, he painted and made photographs, living in the countryside near Wormer, The Netherlands, with his family.
Van Noord also wrote songs. Intense, heartfelt, deeply personal songs for acoustic guitar. He never wanted to record or release them, until he met Arnold de Boer, who is the frontman of the legendary The Ex and also a songwriter in his own right, under the moniker Zea.

With De Boer, Van Noord started to tape his music in the final years of his life. He had a brain tumor and tragically passed away in 2018, just 54 years old.
Arnold de Boer released an album of raw, intense Van Noord home recordings in 2021, thru Makkum Records, entitled Godverdomme Godverdomme De Liefde Godverdomme De Dood ('Goddammit, Goddammit Love, Goddammit Death').
