Archetribe's first release, 'Earthtones', borrowed heavily from the sound of Peter Gabriel's 'Passion' soundtrack, both in atmosphere and due to the sound of the duduk played by Gunnard. 'Waterworks', Archetribe's second release. built on this sound, but relaxed and stretched out a bit, drawing on the core talents of the contributors.
