Art in America
Biography
Art In America are a progressive/rock band from the Detroit area that released their debut album in 1983. They were most notable for intergrating the harp as a lead instrument, an uncommon (perhaps unique) development. Their debut featured production from Eddy Offord, whod worked with such legendary prog bands as Yes and Emerson, Lake. and Palmer.
Art in America recently recorded a new album in 2013. "Hentschel Sessions - 2013", was produced by David Hentschel, who notably produced such acts as: Genesis, Elton John, Paul McCartney and many more. The album includes the original line-up with the 3 Flynn family members. Tony Levin plays bass guitar and Chapman Stick to round out the line-up. Producer David Hentschel contributes additional keyboards. The album was recorded at Scott Frankfurt Studios in Los Angeles and mixed in England by David Hentschel.
