2. Astralace (Houston indie-pop band)

Astralace is an indie-pop band from Houston, Texas. The group formed in 2021 when singer, keyboardist, and songwriter Ashley Lacy began performing songs she had written during the COVID-19 pandemic, joined by her fiancé Zach on bass. After playing open mics around Houston, the pair added drummer Lauren, a college friend, and later guitarist Leela, whom they met performing at a local open mic. All members are graduates of the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston, though they did not begin playing together formally until after graduation.

The band's debut single, "Apple Tree," was written, produced, and largely recorded by Lacy. Astralace has performed at venues around Houston, including a set featured on the local television segment "Houston Life" and a show at Last Concert Café.
