Under the Blue Chemise moniker, Mark Gomes tenderly frays a palette of vintage strings, keys, voices and field recordings in whats been described as “spectral salon music heard at a temporal and geographic remove". Errant crackle creates neppy textures that weave the loops in forms clearly resembling The Caretaker and GAS, yet surely personalised by a subtle asymmetry and discreet layers of plasmic eeriness. Ripping the line between bucolic and noir in its looping, midsummer’s-dream-like inception.
