Biography
BrainBath is a Scottish death metal band from the west of Scotland, formed in 2020. Built around a shared obsession with the classic extreme metal of the late 1980s and early 1990s, the band delivers raw, aggressive and old-school death metal without unnecessary genre boundaries.
Their sound draws from the foundational death metal traditions of the UK, United States and Europe, combining crushing riffs, intense guitars, harsh vocals, pounding drums and a strong sense of atmosphere. Influences from thrash, doom, black metal and traditional heavy metal occasionally surface within their music, while the band remains firmly rooted in death metal. BrainBath's debut self-titled EP was released in 2022, presenting a filthy and uncompromising take on old-school death metal. Their first full-length, HeadHunted, followed in August 2026, featuring eight tracks and over 47 minutes of material.

With their music developed primarily through live jamming and rehearsal rather than heavily programmed production, BrainBath place emphasis on riffs, intensity, atmosphere and songs that demand to be played loud. The result is a distinctly Scottish take on classic death metal, rooted in the genre's formative years while carrying the band's own identity.
