Brett 5000 is a young man of paradox and no compromise. He combines his social consciousness with a meticulously shaped hairdo and labels his music "hair dryer pop".
"I'm looking for that pre-party feeling - you're standing in front of the mirror with your hair dryer, getting the right volume to your head ... and you listen to great music, you take a few dance steps, groovin' ... you know what I'm saying?" .
So, yet another happy-go-lucky, care-free club kid? No, think again. Brett 5000 is placing his music in a dancefloor environment not only because he likes a good time, but since he has something to say. This crazy kid has a message to get across.
"When you want to party, you're perceptive. You think, you ponder, you want to do good. And working your hair with a dryer really is a time for contemplation and reflection, you know? So I'm off to the club, and in my mind there are all these great ideas to make the world a better place. It all starts here and now. The partying and the world-saving. The way I see it, it's a two-way path."
