CECILI

Biography

NYC/Atlanta based Cecili a.k.a. : thegirlfromallaroundtheworld, is an electro-soul singer/songwriter with an obvious love for the unconventional when it comes to music. Born in Germany into a military family, Cecili is what you get when you take born and bred southerners, uproot them and place them into a traveling caravan with just enough room to carry only their most treasured possessions- finding that the few things they do have are all they need. Cecili is a curious, restless, damsel from the deep south who chooses existence as a bohemian futuristic traveler throughout various times and foreign lands. Through her melodic, strong and unique vocals Cecili's multi-genre musical stylings include grunge, funk, soul and punk yet somehow it all morphs into what has been described as what you might hear if you took a trip into a time machine to a lounge in the future.

Imagine Erykah Badu and Bjork having a glass of wine with Nirvana and you may start to understand her musical stylings. Take her hand, join her caravan!
