"Call It Ego is a side project I made to give my fans something to listen to during the downtime of Hungry Lights. The original plan was to make a five-track EP in twenty-four hours, but I only managed to complete three and a half songs and two extra guitar tracks. I was having so much fun with the fans and making the album that I wanted to extend the time to forty-eight hours to finish the EP, and then I ended up scrapping the time limit, adding four more songs, and making a full album." - Justin Bonitz
