Biography

Coprophiliac was an Italian brutal death metal and goregrind band formed in Rome in 2008. The group emerged from Italy's extreme metal underground, developing a relentless sound built around heavily distorted guitars, guttural vocals, rapid-fire programmed drums, and aggressive, technical riffing.

The band consisted of Mario Di Giambattista (guitars, vocals, drum programming) and David "Deadskin" Cetorelli (bass, vocals). Their music combined the intensity of brutal death metal with the chaotic energy of goregrind, accompanied by deliberately provocative themes and dark humor.

In 2009, Coprophiliac released their three-track promotional demo, Lesbian Coprophagy. Their debut full-length album, Whining Bitch Treatment, followed on February 10, 2012, through the American extreme metal label Sevared Records. Recorded at 16th Cellar Studios in Rome, the album featured nine tracks and established the band's place within the underground brutal death metal scene.

Coprophiliac performed internationally, including a United States tour in 2012. Both musicians also contributed to other Italian extreme metal projects, notably Devangelic, while Di Giambattista was associated with Vulvectomy and Corpsefucking Art.

The band officially disbanded on January 2, 2014, leaving behind a compact discography representative of the uncompromising Italian brutal death metal underground.
