Biography
Cowboy Hunters are a Scottish duo comprising Megan Pollock and Desmond Johnston. Formed in Edinburgh in 2022 and now based in Glasgow, the pair met while studying music at Edinburgh Napier University. Their formation followed the split of their earlier projects, Choka and National Playboys. Their sound combines punk, rave-rock, grime and pop, with distorted production, heavy riffs and blunt, irreverent lyrics.
Cowboy Hunters balance high-energy, danceable music with provocative humour and observations on contemporary life. Their deliberately absurd public persona includes a running fictional tale about meeting while tracking down a cowboy named Slim Jim. The duo have built a reputation for energetic, unpredictable live performances and an approach that places fun and entertainment at the centre of their music.
