Biography
Cruso aka Josh Elgood is one of the UK's biggest untapped talents in bass-oriented music combining jacking electro riffs with a fresh dubstep influence. Cruso's original approach to track structure makes this DJ/Producer stand out from the crowd with every drop being completely unique and removed from previous drops in the same track adding originality and interest to his productions. At the age of just 21, Josh has already seen his productions championed by the likes of Crissy Criss, Jakes, Mustache Riot, We Bang, Vibeizm, ANiMAL, and is even followed on Twitter by Diplo. He has now released his first original production "Dust To Gold" with singer/songwriter Alice Amelia, and a first ever remix of Vibeizm V Yer Man "F**k You", both released on BassDeVision Records in mid-2012.
Born in Hertfordshire, UK, Josh has lived and breathed music from a young age having spent his life in metal and rock bands. Musically-minded Josh now turns his eyes and ears to electronic music and produces for a living whilst studying Music Technology at Hertfordshire University. Having gigged at venues such as Camden Barfly and with support from Radio1, 1Xtra and BBC Introducing, expect much more from Cruso in 2012. With a rapidly expanding fanbase and a killer electro EP on the way in the coming months, make sure to keep in touch with Cruso's progress by following here:
