Biography

1)

Cyclus is a 4 piece outfit that plays a mix of metal, hardcore and progressive metal. It is an investigation into the extent of human destruction. Cyclus was first assembled as a three-piece outfit in 2014 and completed with a bass player, late 2016. The band started out as a recording project, centred around a concept album about an alien invasion. Correction, ‘the’ alien invasion. The early stages and rehearsals were all about finding a new sound and honing the application of each instrument. Everything emerged from unrestricted jams and a highly deliberate lack of frame. Cyclus has no rules and is determined to let itself be led by a very different energy. Things have a way of falling into place, if you give them enough freedom to grow. This is what the sound seeks to reflect.

The way of sequencing music through tracking made him feel comfortable and gave him the freedom to create whatever came into his mind during the process. His music is very beatbased and adds many layers to percussion, details and sudden changes. Inspired by many genres he gives an interesting touch to his compositions, always trying to build original sounding patterns for himself. From his evergrowing database of songs he chose a handfull and released an album called ‘Fractals’ in the year 2003 and Automata in 2008.
