Biography
DødsGap is a Death Metal band from Oslo, Norway and was formed by Erik in late 2010, inspired by Old School Death Metal, Old School Black Metal and Thrash Metal. They began writing lyrics about horror stuff, tuning down their guitars and changed the pace of their music, standing out from the Black Metal scene in Norway.
In the beginning it went really slow, and the only steady member besides Erik was the drummer Audun. At that time DødsGap was just a rehearsal band. But it all changed when Endre joined in on bass. Endre would not settle on things before it was perfect, and he really did make Erik produce better riffs and write better lyrics. By the year of 2012, Erik, Audun and Endre had played some gigs and made some songs, but Erik was not happy. So far the band was not really a Death Metal band, but more of a metal band who played in C standard. So Erik began making even more sick lyrics and write even more faceripping riffs. The songs became more extreme and the band had at last taken the shape that it was ment to have.

In early 2013 an old member of DødsGap, Ole Jakob, began to open his eyes for the Death Metal DødsGap had begun to play. Easy to cope with and a solid rhythm guitar player, he joined the stringripping with Erik. This made the sound of the band even more heavier. And it gave us even more heavyness when both guitars used the infamous Boss HM-2 pedal.
In May 2013 Eirik "Kjøs" joined in on vocals due to Erik's problem with the multitasking of singing and playing Lead Guitar. In June 2013 Audun decided to quit the band, resulting that Erik had to play drums on the upcoming demo. In October 2013 Georg came in for a "jam" with the Death Metal maniacs of DødsGap, and he joined in as well. Later in October Ole Jakob decided to quit DødsGap for good, after many times in and out. Now the band is a four-piece with the grave as goal.
"Besides being the ugliest band of our era we will also give you some serious earache. Bringing you even one step closer to hell."
