Biography
Darkin is an alternative rock band from Delaware, formed by brothers Frank Darwicki and AJ Elkins in 2007. Darkin has performed from coast to coast, and has been featured on 93.7 WSTW's Hometown Heroes and 93.5 The Beach's Local Produce. Darkin has a recording deal with Capital Management and Universal Recording Company.
Darkin stretches back to 2007, when brothers AJ and Frank decided to form a band in their tiny bedroom. The only problem was, neither one of them knew how to play an instrument. AJ, originally on guitar, switched to drums; Frank proved to be naturally gifted with guitar. During the winter of 2008, Mike Lynch was brought in as a bass guitarist, completing the line-up.

Even during the early days, Darkin gained the attention of friends and family with catchy guitar riffs and cleaver lyrics. Early songs such as Wasted, Forget, and The Change highlighted the band's characteristic progressive rock sound and pop-style lyrics.
After a couple years of playing private parties in and around their hometown, Darkin branched out into the bar scene in the spring of 2011. Performing extensively across northern Delaware, the band received their first radio airplay in November 2011 on 93.7 WSTW's Hometown Heroes segment.
The successes of 2011 were topped in 2012, with yet more radio airplay on 93.7 and a live performance on 93.5 The Beach. Darkin extended their touring reach, performing shows in Atlantic City, Philadelphia, and Baltimore. In August 2012, the band drove across the United States to showcase in the Indie Entertainment Summit in Los Angeles.
During the spring and summer of 2013, Darkin inked a deal with Capital Management to record their first ever full-length album. The album is slated for release in early 2014.
