Biography
Darrelyne Bickel is a country singer/songwriter hailing from The Pas, Manitoba, Canada. Since connecting with producer/songwriter Arun Chaturvedi, she has written and recorded a 6 song ep to be released in late 2008. It includes the first single, Eddie's Got A Mustang. "We wrote Eddie's Got a Mustang about the pressures of living in a small town. Living in The Pas has its pros and cons" she adds. "On one hand, I love the people, my family and friends, and the land...but on the other I feel like I need to break free, and make a name for myself in the rest of the world." Insightful thoughts for a 15 year old, albeit merit student, currently completing her high school diploma. "I clearly recall the first time I saw and heard Darrelyne." says her producer/co-writer/manager Arun Chaturvedi. "I was performing a show in The Pas with Little Hawk, and there was this small girl with a big guitar, and an even bigger voice singing Pink Floyd and Leonard Skynard songs. I think she was 12 or something at the time. It was surreal! One year later I had her in the studio working on a record." Darrelyne's debut EP entitled 'M.I.A' was just released!
