3. David O'Brien - Ireland
Originally the co-founder of the avant-garde craze that is Clavi, the Irish artist O’ Brien’s first solo release “1867” bridges the gap between the music of the 00s and the avant-garde of the new decade. Graceful bass lurches with a dusting of tautly focused ultrasound frequencies characterise his idiosyncratic musical style, to the point that Cuthbert Craigavon has described it as “the goodest thing to happen ever to musics, for serious” via his Twitter page.
