This local cult band is still playing a catchy sixties-inspired version of pop/rock, while singing their idiosyncratic, everyday observations in heavy Bergen accent. Both the humor and the sometimes serious underpinnings of the band’s lyrics are very connected to their hometown, thus the band seldom plays anywere else.
DMD’s musical influences are most of all the Kinks, and it’s also easy to hear traces of Grateful Dead, Beatles and the Rolling Stones, together with seventies-bands like Edgar Broughton Band and Steve Harley in their music.
