Biography
Detroit VooDoo is an Urban Metal band hailing from Detroit, Michigan USA. We make music in the vein of Drowning Pool (original lineup), White Zombie, Pantera and other groove metal bands. Detroit VooDoo deliver a steady dose of energy in the form of hard driving pulses, contagious hooks and infectious grooves to catch and keep a listeners ear without too much complexity weighing it down. Our music combines heavy rock with fun and simplicity, brought to life onstage with animated performances from Ringleader Rube on vocals, Nico on guitar, Big E on bass, and Steve on drums. Being from Detroit we have always looked up to theatrical artists like Alice Cooper for inspiration; and we deliver with machine gun drumlines, earth shaking subs, solid aggressive riffs and powerful vocals. Visually you are entertained with shrunken heads, pulsating strobes, skulls, blood dripping banners, and intense showmanship from the Medicine man as he leads the crow in an eerie chant! VooDoo! VooDoo! VooDoo
