Biography
DO not DO, a group created in August 2021 by two young people aged 21 and 22, Romy and Iskander, with very different musical backgrounds. One listened to soul, funk and swore by Amy Winehouse, Jamiroquai or Outkast, while the other shouted her rage in a rock band with Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes or Sonic Youth. Finding themselves on an alternative rock/electro/funky/synthwave/hip hop school, the duo has been able to keep the essence of "groove music" while "electronizing" it, giving it a thickness in the writing, keeping the importance of hooks and catchy and hypnotic melodies as we like it in rock and indie pop.
DO not DO is the result of electronic/synthetic music magnified by the spirit and rage of an always abrasive rock. But the opposite is also true, DO not DO is also a rock band sublimated by mechanics and digital beat.

The duo, thanks to French and English texts that sail between inspired poetry and bittersweet reality, becomes a loudspeaker for the torments and aspirations of this youth living this end of an era between carefreeness, hedonism and commitment.
A universalist and cosmopolitan group, which perfectly fits its time, demanding and popular.
