Biography
Ensanguinate is a Slovenian blackened death metal band from Ljubljana, formed in 2020. They deliver a savage, occult-infused blend of old-school death metal aggression, black metal atmosphere, thrashing riffs, and melodic Swedish-inspired touches, often evoking a ritualistic and blasphemous intensity.
The band emerged from musicians with roots in Slovenian thrash metal acts like Panikk, Hellsword, and Eruption. They quickly established themselves in the underground with a sound that channels influences such as Morbid Angel, Grotesque, Dissection, Bathory, Celtic Frost, Possessed, and occult rock elements from bands like The Devil's Blood and In Solitude. Themes revolve around Satanism, occultism, death, ritual, and dark mysticism, delivered with raw energy and a focus on atmosphere.
