El Valiente lurk and charge through spaces as broad and bleak as the Grand Canyon. The group’s guitar, glockenspiel, bass, and drums prove boldest when drifting off into a skeletal void between slowcore, spaghetti western, and free jazz. - The Onion A.V. Club
El Valiente has played with some of the most intriguing acts in indie rock today—Dub Trio, Tortoise, The Appleseed Cast, Cougar, members of Don Caballero and The Mars Volta, Collections of Colonies of Bees, Lymbyc System, The New Year, Bottomless Pit. Festival appearances include Milwaukee’s Summerfest 2011 and 2010 and Madison’s Forward Music Fest 2009.
