Biography

Emerging from the shrubs and sod at the North Toronto garden centre where they worked one summer were three guys with a common bond. Often after work, the band's three members Dano Scott, Lennan Delaney and Rob Cranston - joined other employees at a local pub to enjoy a couple pints, and soon discovered what they had in common; a love and passion for music.

So the guys eschewed the next gathering at their local watering hole for a jam session at Dano’s house that lasted well into the following morning. To say they had an immediate chemistry was undeniable. It wasn’t long before the trio decided to put their combined talents to the test. So they hauled their instruments to an Open Mic Night at a nearby pub, and what began as a ’go-see’ turned into a resounding success and the boys came away with an offer to play their first paid gig.

Fallen Ground performed mostly covers at their first few gigs before testing their own tunes on the listening public. Not endowed with fat wallets, a blessing of another kind descended upon the band in the form of a local music student who was in the crowd at one of the shows. He promptly invited the band to record some tunes at a downtown studio for a school project. From this session emerged the first of Fallen Ground’s recordings - Bob Tune, Landslide and Loose Goose.

The unique sound of Fallen Ground comes from the diverse musical backgrounds of all three musicians. The band’s musical genre is essentially a fusion of folk rock, pop, alternative, and Celtic... with a twist. Within a year, the band has acquired a considerable fan base, which continues to grow exponentially. While the band’s current demo, In a Landslide, has been receiving fantastic reviews, nothing can capture the magic that is created live on stage during a Fallen Ground concert. font>
