Biography
Fanatisme is a Norwegian black metal/post-punk band from Oslo, formed in 2023. The quartet combines the raw intensity and atmosphere of black metal with the melancholic character of early post-punk and gothic music.
Their sound is built around harsh black metal vocals, tremolo-picked guitars, melodic leads, synths and driving rhythms, moving freely between fast, abrasive passages and slower, more atmospheric sections. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Darkthrone and Ulver alongside early gothic and post-punk acts such as The Cure and Christian Death, Fanatisme create a sound that is both raw and strangely melodic.
