Biography
Fanou Torracinta is a Corsican jazz guitarist based in Paris, best known for bringing together jazz manouche—the swing tradition associated with Django Reinhardt—and musical influences from Corsica. He began playing with visiting musicians on the island and was particularly influenced by guitarist Tchavolo Schmitt, whom he toured with in 2012. At 17, he formed the Corsican Trio/Quartet with singer Arnaud Giacomoni, bassist William Brunard, and violinist Bastien Ribot.

Gipsy Guitar from Corsica, Vol. 2 followed in 2023.
La Belle Vie is his later album, listed as a 2025 release on Apple Music. It mixes eight original compositions with five covers; some tracks add a string quartet.
Critics describe his playing as lyrical and measured rather than focused on speed, with a particular affinity for waltzes and boleros. On La Belle Vie, “Pour Dorado” pays tribute to guitarist Dorado Schmitt, while “Your Little Swing” shows a lighter, bouncier side.
