Biography

Fawn Limbs is a transatlantic experimental metal band formed in 2018 by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Eeli Helin and drummer Lee Fisher. Both musicians were involved in Infinite Nomad before starting the project. Their music combines mathcore and grindcore with noise and electronics.

Their debut EP, Towing Heads, was released on 31 August 2018, followed by Languor and Thrum later that year. Thrum explored slower tempos, electronic soundscapes and spoken-word narration by Fisher.

The band's debut full-length album, Harm Remissions, appeared in August 2019. It was followed by Sleeper Vessels in September 2020 and Darwin Falls in August 2021. All three albums feature Samuel Smith on bass.

Darwin Falls expanded the band's instrumentation through guest musicians playing strings, brass and woodwinds, including electric cello, viola, trombone, trumpet, oboe and saxophone. Alongside Fisher's narration, the album incorporated elements of doom, post-metal, sludge and folk music.

In November 2023, Fawn Limbs released Vestigial Spectra, a collaborative album with Nadja, the duo of Aidan Baker and Leah Buckareff. The recording brought together grindcore, drone, doom, noise and ambient music.

On 23 June 2026, the band released Vulnera MMXVI, an eight-track collection of material Helin had written before Fawn Limbs was formed. Its credits list Helin on guitars, vocals, programming and production, with vocal recordings by Miiro Varjus.
