Biography
Barcelona-based musical project — blending funk, soul, jazz, breaks, and electronic elements where crate-dug samples meet warm, modern-soul vocals — founded by Italian composer-producer Daniele Carmosino and Swedish singer Lisa Widmark, Freedust has grown into a global collective, working with a rotating cast of vocalists from around the world — voices spanning many nationalities, from soul singers and rappers to jazz and folk artists, alongside live players and gospel choirs.
Cinematic and eclectic but human at its core, the sound has been described as Wax Tailor meets Black Pumas. The result is feel-good melodies, irresistibly bouncy beats and a raw, vintage-soul energy — music that flips classic samples into something as timeless as it is new, built to move both bodies and crate-diggers.
