Biography
Gulabi, an antifascist, punk, and feminist band, based in São Paulo - Brazil, was formed in 2018. The inspiration came from the "Gulabi Gang," a group of Indian women who use bamboo sticks for self-defense to combat the patriarchal violence that surrounds their daily lives.
The group applies these teachings through direct action, delivering beatings and bamboo lynchings to men who are aggressors, abusers, and harassers of women. We are inspired by the resistance of the Gulabi Gang to fight daily and directly against the patriarchy and fascism that surrounds our reality.
