"First Lady of Country Music" Tammy Wynette and her husband of six years, country legend George Jones, as a pair released over eight albums and became one of the best-known and most successful duet groups in Country music history. Although there have been many country partnerships, most notably Loretta Lynn & Conway Twitty, Dolly Parton & Porter Wagoner and Johnny Cash & June Carter, none come close to matching the success achieved by George Jones and Tammy Wynette during the seventies and eighties.
