Getdown Services
Biography
Getdown Services are a British dance-punk duo comprising Josh Law and Ben Sadler. Originally from Minehead, Somerset, the childhood friends began making music together during lockdown after moving to Bristol. Their sound, which they have described as “power disco”, combines dancefloor rhythms, electronic production, guitar-driven rock and irreverent lyrics.
Their influences include T. Rex, Daft Punk, AC/DC and Chic, artists the pair have described as longstanding shared favourites. Their music has drawn comparisons with The Streets, Sleaford Mods and LCD Soundsystem, reflecting their blend of electronic and guitar-based sounds, offbeat humour and observations of everyday life.
