Biography
Ghinolfo Dattari was a sixteenth-century Bolognese singer and composer associated with the cappella of San Petronio, where accessible secondary evidence places him from February 1555 until his death in 1617. His surviving musical identity is secular and light-textured: he is associated with Canzoni villanesche a 4 voci from 1564 and Le villanelle for three and four voices from 1568, both connected with Bolognese aristocratic dedication networks.
