Biography
Glass Bottom Boat was formed just as an instrumental hobby in 2002 with members Kyle, Willy, and Nick. Willy and Nick had both recently begun to play their guitars and Kyle had been playing drums for a couple of years already. It was a fun way for the group to develope skill at playing and with writing songs. After a few months of goofing around the band eventually fell apart. A year later, late in 2003, after practicing on their own and acquiring a lot of skill with their instruments, Willy and Nick decided they wanted to form a real band. After jamming with another drummer for a little while, they decided to asked Kyle to join them and try to get a band going. Kyle agreed and the three began to practice just like a year before, only this time, the band was determined to be more than just a couple of kids jamming every now and then. Very early in 2004, the band began looking for a singer. Nick and Willy found Brandon, who they believed would make a good singer / rhythm guitarist. After a "trial" jam session between everyone, the decision was unanimous to ask Brandon to join the band. After practicing for a few months, the band began playing local shows, and that is where the band is today. So look out for more of GBB in the local scene.
