Grondh was founded in the beginning of 2008. Because of the desire to play heavier and more evil sounding black metal, band immediately started to write their own

material. Band’s line-up has remained stable, with only slight changes, in order to represent black metal lifestyle and satanic philosophy with maximal passion, denying
any form of religiosity. Their music is based on the traditional black metal, in order to continue develop new possibilities and borders for already approved black metal
values. The word Grondh means battering ram. It is declaration of war to modern society’s values and church, placing the idea of superhuman = inhuman above everything else.

Grupa Grondh savu darbību sāka 2008. gada sākumā. Sakarā ar vēlmi
spēlēt smagnēju un ļauni skanošu black metal, grupa uzreiz ķērās klāt pie
sava muzikālā materiāla rakstīšanas. Piedzīvojot tikai nelielas izmaiņas, grupas sastāvs ir turējies nemainīgs, lai ar
maksimālu atdevi reprezentētu black metal
dzīvesveidu un sātanisko filozofiju, noliedzot jebkādu reliģiozitāti.
Grondh radītās mūzikas pamats rodams tradicionālā black metal izpildījuma manierē, papildinot to ar pašu
mūziķu oriģinālo interpretāciju par šo žanru.
Grondh - tas ir kara pieteikums mūsdienu sabiedrības vērtībām un to sistēmai, kā arī baznīcai, par visu augstāk
nostādot ideju par pārcilvēku = necilvēku.
