Biography
Guigs, nickname for Luís Mendes, is an amateur music maker from Curitiba, southern Brazil. His music is inspired by life experiences and emotions, synthesized into an electronic piece of harmony. The compositions by Guigs make heavy use of the piano, instrument he plays since childhood. Apart from music composing, Guigs is a computer engineer student, applying music to his works at college, in which several projects based on this theme were already made. One example is the Theremin, the first electronic instrument in history. Currently, Guigs is studying the production of a complete sound synthesizer from scratch, based on digital signal processing.
