Born on May 10, 1985, in Tiberias to a family of Tunisian, Turkish, and Sephardic-Spanish descent, she relocated to Bat Yam at the age of six. She served in the IDF Intelligence Corps before studying at the Rimon School of Music from 2008 to 2010.
Her stage name reflects a subtle play on her family surname, Revach (meaning "profit" or "gain"): interpreting the letters instead as Ruach ("spirit" or "wind"), she chose the abstract over the utilitarian path.
Band Era: Kalvei Ruach
In 2009, Ruach formed the indie band Kalvei Ruach (כלבי רוח) alongside guitarist Nir Shlomo, bassist Noam Shaham, keyboardist Itai Shitrit, and drummer Gadi Peter. Serving as the frontwoman and lead songwriter, she penned and composed the entirety of their self-titled debut album, released in 2013 to critical acclaim. Following the group's disbandment, she launched her solo career.
