Biography
Hjemsøkt is a Norwegian black metal band formed in 2022, known for their self-described style of "Æterisk Misantropisk Sort Metal" (Ethereal Misanthropic Black Metal). The band’s name, translating to "haunted" in Norwegian, reflects their thematic focus on mystery, darkness, and pagan-inspired atmospheres. Despite their recent formation, Hjemsøkt has quickly gained attention in the underground black metal scene for their raw, intense sound that pays homage to the second wave of Norwegian black metal while incorporating unique elements like choirs and acoustic interludes.
