Infinite Wisdom

With a set of original songs that includes extended compositions and complex instrumentals as well as shorter radio friendly numbers.

Infinite Wisdom have developed a style and sound that is unique but who's influences can be traced back through a whole host of classic rock and progressive bands such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Rush, Marillion and Muse to name just a few.

As with all bands the best way to get a taste of the Infinite Wisdom sound is to catch the band live.

Things were set in motion when Mark answered an advert from Paul in the early 1990's to join an original rock band called "Lakeland Plain". The two of them realised straight away that they had a lot in common and eagerly formed a song writing partnership.

The band line up changed several times before the first gig and a name change to Legacy. After many years of local gigging and recording that band split.

Mark and Paul continued working together forming a number of bands with different line-ups, but retaining their unique song writing style and ideas. Family life intervened and the lads stopped gigging but continued writing and recording music.

Finally the ‘playing live’ bug got the better of them and they set about forming a new band.

Roger finally joined the duo on drums and the realisation that actuality things worked best as a three piece became apparent after auditioning and rejecting a stream of singers and keyboard players.

The band had a new name - Infinite Wisdom and a new set of songs were crafted to take advantage of the new line up.

Infinite Wisdom has recorded a mini album of tracks called After The Storm and a follow up full album called A Word To The Wise. They have also recorded a DVD called 'Pictures In A Sonic Landscape.'

In 2013 the trio became a quartet with the addition of bass player and multi-instrumentalist Jonathan, allowing Mark to concentrate more on keyboard duties and further broadening the sound of the band.
