Biography
Intestinal Disease is a grindcore / mincecore band that formed May 1992, in Diest, Belgium. Influenced largely by early crust and hardcore, Intestinal Disease plays a style of grindcore / mincecore - as well as hints of noisecore, in their earlier days - that compares to that of their peers - Agathocles, Rot (Brazil), etc - but displays a sound that is also very much in touch with their punk roots - in much a similar fashion to the style Violent Headache (Spain).
Lyrically, most themes surround sociopolitical issues, tackling such topics as capitalism, war, animal rights, vegetarianism, and conformity, among others; all of which are dealt with in a dark humorous tone that generally presents a view of which makes light of society's corruption and faults. Having released a number of well received 7" EPs, LPs and Split 7" LPs / EPs - with such notable bands as Rot (Brazil), Violent Headache (Spain), Carcass Grinder (Japan), Thinkshit (Canada), and Cornucopia (Belgium) - Intestinal Disease are considered somewhat legendary in the grindcore underground, and are still going strong today.
