Biography
Kieran Lloyd, age 22 and now living in Sydney, began his EDM odyssey in 2001. Playing Piano, Bass, Sax and Guitar through his youth, he was introduced, like so many 15 year old kids, to dance music through the ‘wild’ series of compilations.
However it wasn’t always trance that initially captured his attention. House, breaks, trance, all seemed fresh after a diet of Metallica and Korn, the music of choice for him and his peers. More CDs were purchased, with Kieran buying whatever was available in his home town of Armidale, in the north of NSW, with a population which would only just fill the main arena at a music festival.

Fast forward a couple of years, and, still by no means a passionate devotee of EDM, Kieran still maintained a slightly sceptical view of the supposed talents of these ‘superstar’ DJs, but, wanting to still become actively and further involved, he inevitably decided that making the tracks for these DJ’s was where the real game was at. By now trance was his genre of choice, thanks to a certain man by the name of Tiesto. As 2004 approached, and his high school education was complete, Kieran’s enthusiasm skyrocketed.
Soon after, in February of 2004, his career began when his copy of Propellerheads’ infamous software, ‘Reason’ arrived in the post. Skip forward through many days of self education, to mid 2005, which saw his debut on the newly established label Trancetribe Recordings with ‘Hindenburg’. Now using his alias of Invertika, Hindenburg was a highly unique track, and it brought his new alias into the spotlight. Now, several releases, gear upgrades, and competition successes later, most notably a top 5 finish in Gabriel and Dresden’s worldwide remix comp for their smash single ‘Tracking Treasure Down’, and with the prospect of new alias’s and new styles about to debut, only a little more than 2 years into his journey Kieran is a young producer on the rise.
