Biography
Isaiah Stone is a self-taught Atlanta-based solo artist, not a traditional band, whose genre-blending music fuses funk, psychedelic rock, soul, and introspective hip-hop with prominent falsettos and self-produced instrumentation; raised on gospel and forbidden from hearing secular music while living in a religious cult until age 12, he began playing drums at age two and later taught himself guitar, piano, and production before using music as a outlet for survival and healing after leaving that environment; his recent singles released in 2025 include “Get Down” (January 2025), “Soul Exchange,” and “Possessed” (June 2025), along with “No One Cares,” “Leavin!,” and “Broke Boy Blues,” which have been described as hypnotic, danceable, and personally cathartic; critics and coverage frame him as a rising independent artist working to make rock’s Black musical ancestry more visible while maintaining a DIY, identity-driven approach rooted in experimental funk and indie rock.
