Biography
Electronic duo from Portishead, UK, active between 1996-2001. Influences draw mainly from early 80's synth-pop such as New Order and Depeche Mode. Music most noted for heavy and forward-mixed bass guitar similar to that of New Order's Peter Hook.
Output available from that early period comes from a four-track recorder and analogue equipment due to lack of funds. Attempts to hire a guitarist to create an additional wall of sound failed and the duo split to go to university.

The duo released new material in 2009 having traded in analogue equipment for computer technology and a move towards a more dance oriented direction (whilst retaining the essential bass guitar). New track the UnAmerican, which samples Simple Minds 1981 single The American, garnered favourable reviews.
