Biography

Jasmin Moallem (Hebrew: יסמין מועלם; born April 15, 1995, in Jerusalem) is an Israeli singer, songwriter, rapper, and record producer of Mizrahi Jewish descent. She spent early childhood years (ages 2–4) in Portugal before returning to Israel (later living in Jaffa) and studied music in London, the United States, and at Israel’s Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music, where she won first place in the 2018 “Shirimon” competition using a looper while covering Omer Adam’s “Noetzet Mabat.”

She began releasing independent singles around 2019 and broke through with her debut album Arye (Lion, 2020, Yahalom Records). The lead single “Mesiba” (featuring rapper Shekel) became a streaming and radio hit, entering Galgalatz’s playlist. Follow-up single “Yehefim” (2021) also charted strongly. Her second album, Ein Olam (No World, 2023), included the collaborative “Tsunami” (with Mergui) and the major hit “Yihye Tov” (“It Will Be Good”), which topped Israeli streaming charts and was widely regarded as one of the anthems of the Iron Swords War period.
