Self-describing as a human mess, Jordaan tries to embrace their lack of self-identity in their music, which often circles around themes of queerness, abuse, dysphoria, and violence. After three solo albums, they put out a record in 2009 with ‘the horse museum’, which is a collective of musicians that were formed organically. This record brought them a sizable following, after which they went on to put out several more records with critical acclaim.
