Biography
So this is where you would normally find a fancy bio full of accolades and accomplishments, “humbly” informing you of how awesome I am and who I’ve “shared the stage with”, etc.
Well, I think... yeah, I think I’m done with that.

I’d rather just tell you that I’m a sinner saved by God’s grace. I’m no better than you and I fail miserably every day. I struggle with a lot of the same things you probably struggle with. And everyday is a constant battle to know and trust that Jesus is better than all of those things.
I’d rather just tell you that I’m incredibly blessed to have an amazing, beautiful, Christ-following wife, and two wonderful little girls that steal my heart away every day. And I’m thankful for family and friends that I love and can trust.
I’d rather tell you that I’m trying to be faithful in the little things... faithful to where God has me now. I’m privileged to serve as a worship leader at Capstone Church in Tuscaloosa, AL. I love my church and the community that Amy and I experience there. And I’m thankful for the opportunities I get to travel and play music.
I’d rather just tell you that I’m a washed-up athlete and music minister’s kid who grew up in church but didn’t understand what it means to be a Christ follower until much later in life.
I like guitars, golf, basketball, Mexican food and P.F. Changs.
I try to write honest, challenging songs that contain sound theology. And I hope to write songs that resonate with believers and unbelievers.
I want to earn more money so I can give it away, and Amy and I hope to adopt soon.
I’d rather just tell you that I’m not a rock star and I’m not an entertainer. I’m really not even sure how to correctly label myself. But I can say, if given the opportunity to worship with you, I will do my best to shine a light on the glory and grace of our great God and Savior... and to be honest.
I would appreciate your prayers on this journey and would love to connect with you soon.
Josh
